Respiratory Care

The new Williamson Memorial cardiopulmonary team works with the hospital medical team to diagnose, assess and treat patients to develop care plans. Those may include administering an electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG), a non-invasive test that measures the electrical activity of the heart

Respiratory therapy can be used to reduce and manage lung conditions and treat patients suffering from chronic lung disease and acute exacerbations, referring to the sudden and significant worsening of symptoms in chronic disease. Therapists can diagnose, treat and educate patients and consult with the medical team to provide personalized therapy.
