Dialing a patient's room from inside the hospital

Dial the room number and then a 1 or 2 depending on which bed the patient is in, if in a private room just dial the room number + 1.

Dialing out from the hospital

When calling out of the hospital dial 9 wait for a dial tone and then dial the number you are calling. 

The following are general guidelines for visitors

  • Visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. daily with the exception of the Intensive Care Unit, and the Postpartum and Newborn areas.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hospital. 
  • Designated smoking areas are located outside the hospital, in a designated smoking building. Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear shirts and shoes.
  • No more than two visitors are allowed in the patient room at one time.
  • People with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
  • Visits should maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noises.
  • Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.
  • Visitors must cover their coughs and use the alcohol-based hand wash located on all floors and patient rooms to reduce the number of potential illnesses carried by germs.
